All very uncertain is the status of the Theatre Guild's sixth New York production for this season. It has been supposed that it would be Sidney Howard's "The Ghost of Yankee Doodle," but admittedly there has been difficulty in finding the four stars or featured players it requires.

Marse Joe McCarthy sent his athletes through their first practice game of the 1937 training campaign at Huggins Field today and after nine innings declared himself highly satisfied with the age-old experiment. Incidentally, more than 2,000 tourists and natives enjoyed the spectacle as the regulars treated the Yannigans to an 8-to-0 shellacking with a bombardment of extrabase blows that held two home runs.
