Families of hostages have learned a lot about news media in past year; many have been awakened at all hours of night by telephone calls from reporters who wanted to know what they were feeling; some have had reporters and TV crews spend nights in their houses; attention intensified again just before Presidential election when it looked as if hostages release might be imminent; 3 TV networks say they have not offered families of hostages free trips to Washington or abroad in return for exclusive interviews; Dorothea Morefield says NY Post offered her and her 2 sons free transportation to Wiesbaden, Germany, where hostages are expected to be taken first if she let reporter accompany her; she refused offer; lauds 3 TV networks, NY Times, Washington Post, Newsweek and Life magazine for their concern (M)
